Invincible #32
Low-Frequency
Listener (L-FL): This issue
spends many pages and grids having Mark and Atom Eve talking about their lives,
powers, and superheroics.
Invincible #32
(I#32): The discussion takes place on the roof in Atom Eve’s house
(that she built atom by atom) in Africa. After further discussions that include Amber
(Mark’s girlfriend) and some sight seeing, the two heroes save a village from a
stampede.
L-FL:
Following up on some of the plots from last issue, issue 32 gives a three page
adventure of the Martian/ Russ Livingston at The Shape Smith and his first superhero
antics against the Lizard Society. Mark’s
mom and new stepson/stepbrother are held hostage by Angstrom Levey.
I#32: For
the superhero, the use of powers gives the user an euphoric state. The Martian
finds joy and purpose in life by using his shape shifting for superheroics (these
panels display the Martian smiling more than another time since his first
appearance in the comic). Mark Grayson’s
attempts to improve his powers, and Atom Eve’s new adaptations of her powers
gives both characters a goal and chance to improve and leaves the users pleased
at the effects from their powers.
L-FL: I
did notice that superheroes tend to smile a lot in this book.
I#32: I’m
impressed. You made good time.
